Basic Of Networking
For understanding the networking we have to need know many of things which helps us on further.
Now I am going to start
1. What is Network?
A network is a group of two or more than two devices communicate. The communication between them may physical and/or wireless connections.
2. What is Internet?
A internet is a network of networks. When two or more then two network connected with each other through a single network that is internet.
Or The main definition of Internet is
“A global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized communication protocols.”
3. What is ISP ?
ISP stands for Internet Service Provider . eg.you use internet on phone by using SIM . The SIM company like airtel ,jio Idea and BSNL etc . All of these are ISP for you .
4. What are the types of Networks?
Network is mainly divided into three part . And these are essay to understand
5. What is CAN ?
CAN stands for Controller Area Network or it is also known as LAN (Local Area Network)
CAN is the inner part of Network . eg . A company has 20 employees and they are using a single network and this network is inside the company .that is CAN
Means “The network which has small area , and if you want use that network then you have to to enter that network .”
Main definition of CAN
“A Controller Area Network (CAN bus) is a robust vehicle bus standard designed to allow microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other in applications without a host computer. It is a message-based protocol, designed originally for multiplex electrical wiring within automobiles to save on copper, but can also be used in many other contexts.”
6. What is MAN ?
A metropolitan area network (MAN) is a computer network that interconnects users with computer resources in a geographic region of the size of a metropolitan area. The term MAN is applied to the interconnection of local area networks (LANs) in a city into a single larger network which may then also offer efficient connection to a wide area network. The term is also used to describe the interconnection of several local area networks in a metropolitan area through the use of point-to-point connections between them.
Or it is also known as Main Area Network
7. What is WAN?
“WAN or Wide Area Network is a computer network that extends over a large geographical area, although it might be confined within the bounds of a state or country. A WAN could be a connection of LAN connecting to other LAN’s via telephone lines and radio waves and may be limited to an enterprise (a corporation or an organization) or accessible to the public. The technology is high speed and relatively expensive.
There are two types of WAN: Switched WAN and Point-to-Point WAN. WAN is difficult to design and maintain. Similar to a MAN, the fault tolerance of a WAN Is less and there is more congestion in the network. A Communication medium used for WAN is PSTN or Satellite Link. Due to long distance transmission, the noise and error tend to be more in WAN.”
